Hygienic pallets are made of plastic. Plastic is far more hygienic than wood – wood is a porous material that can be a good nesting base for pests and insects. Wood can also splinter, which poses a danger to the user and the substances that are being transported. Plastic is not porous and does not splinter. The finish of the hygienic pallet ensures that there are no spaces or seams where dirt can accumulate. They are completely smooth, which reduces the risk of unwanted guests.
